Lexington’s Pro Bono team was asked by PR guru, Lynne Franks, to lead One Billion Rising’s media campaign in advance of a mass gathering on Valentine’s Day in Trafalgar Square to demand an end to violence against women and girls. Founded by Vagina Monologues author, Eve Ensler, One Billion Rising is a global campaign based on the staggering UN statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than one billion women and girls. The Trafalgar Square event was one of thousands across 200 countries internationally.

Lexington’s team, led by Caroline Nagle, secured amongst other things: a packed press launch with Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper in Parliament the week before the event; 33 pieces of coverage; over 300,000 tweets; and some very happy customers among the One Billion Rising team.  Lynne Franks said: “I want to thank you and all the team for such an incredible, professional job on behalf of One Billion Rising.  I don’t think we could have asked for any better results and your whole team were spectacular – led by the wonderful Caroline.”
