The event will take place 8:30-10am on Wednesday 16th May at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1Y 5AH . A continental breakfast will be provided from 8:00am.

As the NHS celebrates its 70th anniversary, uptake of innovation is at the centre of the debate. The end of 2017 saw the Government publish both its response to the Accelerated Access Review, and the life sciences sector deal, and 2018 will see those policies begin to be implemented. With new pathways and structures set out, our event will consider how these will be delivered, and what else may be required from Government and other stakeholders to ensure UK patients are able to benefit from new innovations.

Speakers include:

  • Lord O’Shaughnessy, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health
  • Mike Burrows, National Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) Coordination Director and former NHS England Area Director for Greater Manchester, Senior Counsel to Lexington Health
